Beyond the Steppes (2012)

In 1940, Nina, a young Polish woman, is deported with her little baby to the wide steppes of the USSR by the Soviet Army. She works in a sovkhoz, under the surveillance of the Soviet political police. When her son falls ill, Nina, together with a group of Kazakh nomads, sets out to the unknown in search of medication.
